About the artist:

Michael Ponchot first became intrigued by using industrial quality oil paints
while studying art at Edison State & Columbus College of Art & Design. He
also works as a graphic artist with a local sign store, INEX Signs. In 1999, he
developed his swirld' background with vinyl overlay technique, but believes
that he has "only scratched the surface of its possibilities." His work is
represented by Mac Worthington in Columbus' Short North art district.
